How would I set up and insert a text macro in One Note?

OneNote does not provide VBA macro support.

Another handy tool is KeyText (www.keytext.com), which is not free but
is reasonably priced and works quite well. I've been using it for
some time.

For a long while I have been using "PhraseExpreess" which proved to be
really valuable.
For non-commercial usage it's free. Unfortunately it's available only
German :-( :-(

The makers of PhraseExpress I believe also make a product called
MaxiVista. That's a VERY cool tool. It allows you to use another
computer as a secondary display on your system. So if you have an old
laptop that isn't any use any more, you can install MaxiVista on your
main machine, let it create the client program and copy that to your
old laptop. Run that, and the old laptop becomes another "monitor"
for your main computer! You can use up to four MaxiVista systems, I
think, as additional displays. At the place I used to work, I could
have my main system (a laptop) with its internal display, plus with an
additional monitor connected, and then run MaxiVista on another laptop
and use that as the third display. Worked pretty well!

You are right.

It's indeed a really useful tool.
I had used MaxiVista a long while ago. It was really useful to join my
TabletPC and my desktop computer (which does not have a dual head
graphics card). But when changing the OSs it gout out of sight :-(
So in Sunday I bought and downloaded the current version.
Unfortunately it dies not want to run in my Vista system :-(
So I will have to go a bit deeper into it.

Correction:
PhraseExpress is available in English too

For non-commercial usage it is FREE.
I can highly recommend the tool.

MaxiVista v4 is in beta. Register for the forums, and you can get it.
I have it but haven't tried it yet. It's supposed to overcome the
Vista display driver issue.
