inserted a counter on different pages.. but its a different counter?

i am messing with front page and set up a site.. not using shared
borders.... i set it up using cell property tables...

i insert a page counter on the bottom of the pages.. it appears that its a
different page counter on each page.. so my home page counter reads 25
hits.. and a sub page counter reads 15 hits..
is there a way that i can make the entire site use the same counter without
using shared borders?

are you referring to insert content and insert a page? that seems to put the
entire page into my site.. would it be best to just put a counter on a
single page and insert that page??

Create a page with only the counter in it and save it.
Then click once with the mouse cursor where you want the counter to appear in your page.
Then click Insert > Web Component > Included Content > Page and then select the page with the hit
counter
