Inserted files

I want to insert a file that has a protected section for
forms into an unprotected file and retain the protection
as in the original. I have tried Insert file and Insert
sub-document but get strange section breaks and clashes
between the section protection and master document
locking.
I also want the insert operation to be a macro called
from a button so I cannot apply the protection manually.
The requirement is to insert a letter continuation sheet
with the top section of the sheet a small form to fill in
reference information.

I have tried everywhich way and would be grateful for any
pointers.

As you have gathered, you cannot do this as inserting a protected document
into another document breaks the protection. You'll have to think of another
plan - a user form seems a logical step
