Inserted Graphic Files

Good Afternoon -

Some of our users are experiencing a problem with inserting signature
and logo graphics into MS Word XP. With some files, the background
appears clear/white on the screen or print preview, however when
printing, a grayscale background appears behind the signature or logo.

This problem occurs with just some files. All of our signature
graphic files are scanned and saved from Adobe Photoshop 7.0 as tif
format.

In Word, when going to properties of the graphic, under the Picture
Tab, the Color setting is configured to automatic. With our trouble
graphics, we can change this setting to black and white. Then the
printout has no gray behind the signature/logo. However, our users
have never needed to make take this step before, and this step does
not resolve grayscale logos.

Any suggestions as to what might be our problem? Thank you in
advance.
Timothy
