Inserted Graphics are Blacked out

Can someone help me.

I have various files created in Word 9.0!

When I open them in Word 2007, several of the inserted 'pictures' appear
totally black, and also print this way.

However, other inserted 'pictures' in the ame document appear normal. To add
to my confusion, when opening the exact same files on a machine with office
2000 every thing appears normal.
