Inserted images are not displayed in MS Word document ...

When I insert any picture from file into my MS Word document, it is not
displayed at all or displayed only partially. How can I correct this
problem? Other MS Word documents containing images are not displayed properly
in my MS Word neither. Please help.

I am having a similar problem with word the first time I insert an image its
ok and it print preview but as soon as I move off the page it disappears
