Inserted project

Hi,

Hope there is an answer for this, but I suspect there isn't.

I have a project file made up of a number of inserted projects. The reason
behind going down this path, has not eventuated, so it is of no longer any
value. However maintaining the schedule as a master/sub master has a number
of drawbacks, least of which is maintaining the schedule especially links.
To change the schedule to a 'normal' set up, it is possible to unlink the sub
master from the base file, and it then leaves all the tasks in what was the
master, with durations etc. The problem seems to be that the links remain as
the dos path link to the original sub master file, but I would like these
links to now be between the tasks within what was the master schedule file.
Is there a quick way to recreaet these links? or as I suspect it is
necessary to simply overwrite the dos path link with the activity task Id.

Any thoughts most welcolme.

David,
If I understand you correctly, you have a dynamic master with links
between tasks in the subprojects and you would like to have a static
master with the links between tasks in the old subprojects preserved. Is
that correct? If yes, then I have a macro that does exactly that.
However, it is not freeware. If you are interested, contact me directly
at the address below.

Re-linking that tasks can of course be done manually. The macro simply
automates the process and is very handy if you have a number of links.
