i have limited web space and was wondering if there were a
way to have a picture linked as a download only. like say
i had a thumbnail and when you clicked on that, instead of
it opening the larger original, it would download the
original to the users computer instead. is this possible?

When the image opens in the viewers browser,
it is automatically downloaded to their browser
cache files. In other words it automatically downloads
to their computer

Steve H

You will not save any space on your web server by this
approach. You'll have a larger photo and a small photo.
You'll save space by eliminating the thumbnail and making
a text link to the larger photo.
