Inserting and Converting an AutoCAD Drawing

Need help ... Trying to insert and convert an AutoCAD .dwg
into Visio 2002 Pro. Steps I took: Click on Insert, click
on Cad Drawing, select a particular drawing and click on
Open, click OK in Cad Drawing Property window, in Cad
Drawing window - verify Continue Without Matching Scale is
selected - and then click on OK, right click on the
inserted drawing, click on CAD Drawing Object, click on
Convert, click on Select All button, click on Next, click
on Delete All DWG Layers, click on Convert Into Lines and
Text and Do Not Convert Hatch Patterns Into Visio Shapes
and finally click on Finish.

Visio attempts to convert the entire .dwg drawing but only
a couple of lines and text remain in Visio after the
conversion.

What is happening? Do I have to configure my AutoCAD
drawing a certain way before inserting and converting in
Visio?

Greatly appreciate feedback. Thanks.

my experience with autocad dwg since version 4 is that bringing a dwg
into visio doesn't work worth a shit.....
