Powerpoint help says that swf files are recognised. But when I try to insert an swf file (ie insert/movie&sounds/movie from file) , it says this file is not a recognised movie format. I have no trouble with quicktime .mov files. Would appreciate help in how to do this!

Hi,

SWF is not supported beyond whatever support is afforded by QuickTime,
which is what plays all movies in PowerPoint. Some very old SWF files
might work, but nothing made recently will.

Head to MediaCoverter.org and convert those SWF files to something
useful like MOV or WMV.
