Inserting between 2 directly adjacent bookmarks

Norbert C. Maier

Hello!

Is there a way to insert something / anything between two bookmarks if they
are directly adjacent?

We very often have to deal with text of the following type:
[(...) Text in bookmark A.][Text in Bookmark B (...).]

Now if you try to insert something between the bookmark-end ] and
bookmark-start [ you automatically insert either in A or B - we do not see
an elegant way to create new un-bookmarked text between them.

A workaround would be to destroy one of the existing bookmarks, insert the
new text and finally recreate the old bookark:
[(...) Text in bookmark A. ][Text in Bookmark B (...).]
(...) Text in bookmark A. [Text in Bookmark B (...).]
(...) Text in bookmark A. NEW TEXT. [Text in Bookmark B (...).]
[(...) Text in bookmark A.] NEW TEXT. [Text in Bookmark B (...).]

Is there no other way?

Greetings and thank you in advance!

Hi Norbert,

I don't think so.
As there is _nothing_ between the bookmarks,
it seems to be impossible to insert something
at a non existing position.
