Inserting CD into Slide Show

Auntie M

Have Version 2002 Office XP Standard for Students & Teachers. Tried to create a slide show--success--it had 30 slides. Have the music (CD in the appropriate drive) and want it to play while the slide show is viewed. Start with the first slide, which will move onto the next, and the next, etc until the last slide shows & the show ends and so does the music. Can't get it to do that. Does anyone know how??

Hello,

By default an inserted sound (in your case: Insert -> Movies and Sounds ->
Play CD Audio Track) will play for the current slide only. To get a sound
to play for more than the current slide you have to adjust the animation
settings for the sound.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions as to how
PowerPoint might change it's features for playing "background" sound, don't
forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
