Inserting ClipArt

When I insert ClipArt into a placeholder using one of PPT's layouts, the
picture does not resize to fit the placeholder.

In PPT 2000, the picture would resize when inserting it into a placeholder.

Is there a way to tell PPT to resize the selected clipart to "fill" the
placeholder on the layout?

You can try turning on Tools/Autocorrect/AutoLayout, but to tell the truth,
I think this behavior was removed in PPT 2003 because so many people
complained about how their stuff was all moving around on their slides when
they'd do this in PPT 2002.
