Inserting Date Automatically

When I type the first four letters of the month, only the month pops up, the
date does not come up, even after hitting the space bar.

What happens if you continue with typing the date? What version of Word are
you using?

After furious head scratching, Arndog asked:

The AutoComplete for dates has always been a bit difficult in the
various versions of Word.

If you are typing the first letter of the date in lower case then try
typing it in upper case. What I've found is if the AutoCorrect option
to capitalize the first letter of sentences is utilized then the rest
of the date is not suggested for autocompletion. I've also found if
after pressing the Spacebar the tip doesn't appear then pressing the
Backspace and the Spacebar again may trigger the display.
