Inserting DVD movie into Powerpoint

I have been charged with determining how to extract a small segment out of a
movie DVD and insert it into a PowerPoint presentation. We currently use
PowerPoint 2002.

Thanks,
carla

First, is this a home made DVD? If not do you have the copyright holders
permission to do as you ask?

PFCMedia will allow you to play the DVD, but NOT "rip" the DVD in anyway.

Yes it is home made. What is the options out there to "rip" the DVD and
only pull out a segment?

If you created this DVD do you not have the original files? If not, you
will need software to rip the file.

CyberLink's PowerProducer Gold allows you (if the DVD is not content copy
protected) to extract part of DVD content to a file and then you can add it
to a custom DVD (respecting copyright laws of course).
