inserting excel object with color text in word prints black & whit

When inserting an excel 2003 worksheet in word 2003, text that is in color
prints in black & white. I have found a reference to this problem in office
XP but not office 2003. Is there a fix for this or are we stuck with the
work-around of setting default printer to color before inserting excel links
/ objects ?
