Inserting Fields in Footers on Photos in Office Picture Manager

Ted M - HANH

How can I insert fields (ie. filename) into footer of photos using Microsoft
Office Picture Manager?

When printing out photos from my digital camera, it is critical to be able
to tie the photo with a filename, especially when dealing with a large number
of picture files or in my case, databases.

Right now, I have to visually match up my printed out photos with their
filenames listed on the computer, and physically write in the filenames on
the actual photos.

This can be very time-consuming when printing out 50 pictures at a time. If
the filename automatically appeared in the footer, I wouldn't have to
physically write in my filenames.

Even if I use Photodraw, I still have to call up each individual picture to
manually insert a text label (filename).

Can anyone lend a hand with this problem?

Hi Ted,

MS Office Picture Manager uses the MS Windows XP Photo
Printing Wizard to Print. You may be able to use that
Windows Feature settings or, if you have MS Office Powerpoint
you can use Insert=>Picture=>New Photo Album
and you can add captions below each photo (except in
'fit to slide' view) and type in captions

You may also want to use a 3rd party product such as
http://www.irfanview.com that includes 'filename'
printing as one of its options. or one of the digital photo
album products.
