Inserting Files -- headers not porting over

I am trying to build a master training document by inserting many separate
files using the Insert...Object feature. However, when I insert documents,
the headers are not coming with the document. Can anyone provide some
guidance on how to do this? I'm avoiding the Master Document feature because
of its issues.

Sorry. I figured it out. I needed to choose "Insert Text," not "Insert File."

It works fine now.
