Inserting footnotes in Word document

Hi Daiya,

As you expected (<g>) it can be done with a wildcard replacement, too.

For some stupid reason or another, ^f won't find footnote references when
wildcards are used.

But ^2 will match both footnote and endnote references.

So a wildcard replacement

Find what: (^2)(^2)
Replace with: \1, \2

will insert the commas. Those commas will pick up the style of the footnote
references, so there's no need to specifically format them in the replacement.

Klaus

Yes, very cool! Thanks, Klaus. That inability to replace footnotes has
bugged me a bunch of times.

I guess now that wildcards actually work in MacWord I should take the
trouble to learn them.
