Inserting Google Analytics into Publisher 2000 Website.

Can anyone let me know whether it is possible to enter the Google Analytics
html fragment into a Publisher 2000 website and if it is , how can it be
done.

I have been trying without success to insert it using the insert html tool
although I have succesfully used this to insert the Google Picasa html
fragment., in the past.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is impossible for us to tell you what you are doing wrong, but others
have successfully incorporated Google Analytics into Publisher webs. I find
in general when an inserted code fragment does not work as expected, that
the reasons can be varied.

If there is a link in the code, then perhaps it is a relative link and only
works when the page is uploaded and will not work in a web page preview.

I sometimes simply do not copy or write the code snippet correctly. A space,
a missed hyphen, a missed period...lots of simple little coding changes can
break the code fragment. Sometimes it is best to construct your code snippet
in NotePad or perhaps a text box in the scratch area of Publisher, and then
copy and paste into the code fragment box. Makes it easier to troubleshoot
and less likely to make a mistake. Go back a study the code.

And finally, I have observed that Publisher webs with Google Analytics take
a extra long time to load which I find off putting. Are you sure that you
need them?
