Inserting Graphics into Headers

J

Jon Teale

Good Morning,

I'm trying (and failing miserably) to insert a graphic into a header i
Excel. I've tried inserting it into the main body of the spreadshee
and then copying and pasting, to no avail.

Nothing else that I try seems to work either...

This may be terribly facile; but if anybody could help me with this I'
be very grateful.

Regards,

Hi Jon,
I'm trying (and failing miserably) to insert a graphic into a header in
Excel. I've tried inserting it into the main body of the spreadsheet
and then copying and pasting, to no avail.

Inserting a picture in the header was introduced with Excel 2003.
With older versions, you have to revert to buying a custom font in which
one of the characters is your picture.

As a workaround, paste a graphic at the top of sheet, with the "working
cells" moved down below it. Choose Page Setup/Sheets and enter the rows
your graphic is on (e.g., 1:3) in the Rows to repeat at top textbox.
Adjust the top and header margins accordingly.
