Inserting Linebreaks...

Is there a way to insert linebreaks at the end of each line of text in a
paragraph, thus converting 1 paragraph to many paragraphs, each one line
long?

Hi Taylor,

There may be a much easier way to do this, but here's what I do in Word
2003.

Select the text in the entire paragraph.

Go to EDIT, REPLACE

In the FIND WHAT box place a period (.)

In the REPLACE WITH box place 2 items. First a period (because you
don't want to lose those) and then select from the SPECIAL drop-down
menu "PARAGRAPH MARK". So your second box will now look like ".^p"

Click REPLACE ALL and your paragraph should now be on separate lines,
and still retain their periods at the ends of the sentences.

I would try this on a copy of your document first in case it doesn't
work for you, but it works for me.

Good luck!

On the other hand, if you're only wanting to have your paragraph
double-spaced (not just at the end of each sentence), you can select
the paragraph, go to FORMAT, PARAGRAPH, click the "Indents and Spacing"
tab, and select the number of spaces you want in the "line spacing"
box.

I'm not looking for double spaceing. I want to separate each line (not
necessarily each sentence) onto a separate so I can go back and place
comments, etc on the lines between the original lines of text...

You can depress your Shift key and hit Enter twuce and that will give
you extra lines in between each line. I hope this has been helpful to
you.

I want to know if there's a way to do that automatically, rather than
manually...
