Inserting linked Visio objects into Powerpoint

Hi,

I have a problem that when i'm inserting certain Visio objects as a link
into Powerpoint the text becomes "squashed up" and is illegible. The only
workaround I can find is inserting double (sometimes treble) spaces between
each word within Visio, but this is not an ideal solution!

I am not altering the object size, and I am simply copying the drawing from
visio, and then within Powerpoint going to Paste Special > Insert Visio
Object.

If I just insert a copy of the drawing (ie not a link) this does not happen.

Any suggestions?
