Having difficulty inserting/Object/Math Type Equation. Can use insert inline

However, I need to insert equation as Object.

Yep: Re-install MathType.

The internal connection in the Operating System that tells Word where to
find the MathType application has gotten confused.

There's no distinction -- Using the MathType menu in Word *does* insert the
equation as an object. If you're saying you need to use the Insert menu
instead of the MathType menu, why is that the case?
