Inserting Multiple Files

does anyone know if there is a way of setting up the SHIFT or CONTROL keys to
'pick' multiple files for embedding into documents? My SHIFT and CONTROL
keys don't currently work in this way.

If you are referring to using Insert/Object/From File then they must
be inserted one at a time.

No, it is just 'insert' 'file' I am looking to do - I was sure you could do
this in multiples.

It usually depends what kind of file you're inserting and what
application -- and what version of the application -- you're inserting into.
For example, I can use the Shift and Ctrl keys when I Insert/Picture/From
File in PPT 2003. The Shift and Ctrl buttons don't work when using
Insert/Picture/From File in PPT 2000, though.
