inserting object in access 2000

Hello,

I have a form that will not allow me to insert an object
(picture) into it. Every time I use the insert object
option on the form, the following error occurs, "a
problem occured while ms access was communicating with
the OLE server or active x control - close the ole server
and restart it out of ms access"

any help appriciated
