Inserting pictures in FP 2003

Can someone help me understand the differences in inserting pictures... For
instance, if I go Insert / Picture / ... the image inserts and I can't
move/drag it around wherever I want it. Although, I can grab it from MS
Publisher and copy then paste it into Frontpage and the outside border
changes so that I can move it around whereever I want. It seems like this
requires more HTML and I'm wondering if it slows the loading time down.
Anyone have any advice/recommendations here?

Thanks!

Beverly,

From Aussieland, again.

I have also seen this query addressed here recently. HTML code is never
large in comparison with images. Sure, one should keep it reasonably small,
but in the total picture, it is not a real consideration.

For example, the total of my HTML/CSS/JS code is 40Kb, which is only what
one or two images would take. All my images come to 1.8MB.

Beverly,

The difference is absolute positioning vs. inserting the image into a fixed
position in the HTML. You may be copying or inserting the image on a
separate layer from Publisher. Either way shouldn't affect the loading time
of the same image.
