Inserting Presentation into Another

T

Thomas Kossler

I want to insert another presenter's presentation mid-way through mine--and
then resume back to mine. When I try to copy/paste his slides into the
appropriate spot in my presentation, his slides take on my
colors/fonts/style and lose his formatting. Is there a way to do this that
keeps his presentation exactly as he prepared it? I tried Paste/Special, but
it didn't seem to give any relevant options. We are both using PowerPoint
2007 on WindowsXP.

Many thanks,
Tom

Thanks. Figured it out. Didn't see that little icon at first.

That'll be the 'keep source formatting' button - yes?

I have this same issue with a presentation, but I don't understand the
solution given here. Are you using "Insert/a presentation from file" or
"Paste"? Where is the "Keep Source Formatting" option?

Hi Musketeer

I always use insert -> slides from file -> browse -> tick the 'keep source
formatting' box (bottom left hand corner of dialogue box) -> select
slides -> insert. If you are using 2007 it's on the home tab -> new slide
drop down -> reuse slide -> open a powerpoint file -> tick 'keep source
formatting' (at bottom left hand corner of taskpane).

Hope that helps

Lucy
