Inserting Slides Not Consistent

I insert slides from another presentation. Sometimes the font and background are retained. Sometimes they are not. Is there a document that covers all aspects of this?

There will be times when I wish the inserted slide to be the same as the source. Other times I will want the slide to take on the attributes of the destination file. Most of the time I will be inserting slides originating in a Windows PPT program. I have no problem opening these files.

I don't know that any "document" other than PPT Help is necessary :)

Assuming you're using the Insert> Slides From> Other Presentation... Method,
make sure to select the option for "Select slides to insert..." -- even if
you intend to insert *all* of the slides. That will take you into the Slide
Finder dialog where you have the checkbox to "Keep design of original
slides". IIRC, the Slide Finder retains the last setting used.
