inserting text in an exact location

How do I insert text in word in an exact location. I need to fill out a
form, so I scanned it, and then inserted it to a document as a watermark.
Now I need to insert the text in exact locations. I changed line spacing to
no avail. Can someone please tell me how to do that.

I'll probably be struck down (or struck off) for saying this, but it occurs
to me that this is a situation where Click and Type might actually be
useful.

I certainly wouldn't dare to suggest using Click and Type. <g>

Also, I wonder how carefully you can position text with Click and
Type. Logically, this would depend on font size and line spacing of
the "Default paragraph style" for the Click and Type feature.

Click and type does not work, as it is too difficult to adjust font and
spacing to fit. I was actually able to do that by laying a table over the
lines, and then removing the borders of the table. It worked. Thank you

Okay. I've never actually tried C&T, so I am hopelessly ignorant about it.
