Inserting Video from file actually insets audio

Dave

Hi all,

Running Powerpoint 2000 the user tries to insert a .wmv file and it appears
as an audio icon.
When played it plays the audio portion only.
This is happening on two laptops, while on a third and fourth laptop this
works as expected.
File associations are fine (i.e double clicking on the file opens and plays
correctly in the windows media player).

Not sure where to look ;-(

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

That was a good read, and led us to a solution... in the registry.

You might check
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm You'll
want to read twice section 3 and make sure your registry/INI files match
those listed.
