Inserting web link in document

I am trying to put a link in a Word document to a page on the web, but it
does not work. I created it using the hyperlink icon on the toolbar. It is
in the format: www.website.co.uk/page.htm. It is blue and underlined, but
when clicked on I get the message 'Cannot open file', whether I am connected
or not. The alt text to the link, instead of showing the web address above,
shows the location of the Word file on my C:\ drive. I have checked the Help
facility, but cannot see how to fix this. I am using SBE 97.

Help please!

Better still right click on the Hyperlink and edit the address. It thinks
the document is on your Hard Drive.
You can copy the full web site address from your Address Bar and paste it
onto the Address area in Edit Hyperlink.

Thanks Vic. When I tried before it would not allow me to put "http://" at
the start of the address, which I believe it needed. However, as a result of
your reply, I went back and had another try. By choosing the appropriate
address from the drop down in Hyperlink / Edit / Browse... it works!!

Muchos thank-yous
