I write some surveys with 100s of pictures and I wish to dbl dclk the file
name and get the pic to link rather than insert (a file size issue)
Any help out there? Thanks

Samm: You may want to instead consider something like www.irfanview.com,
which has a batch graphics compression. However, I'm pretty sure you can set
the default, I just don't personally know the code. I'm sure someone else
will respond with it.

That was an interesting web site to which you directed me, but it does not
really answer my problem. I use the 'page of' and 'total page' functions in
my footers, and in order to make the narrative portion of the survey and the
picture portion one contiguous document, I insert (link actually) two
pictures on each page. I have genned a two picture page template which I just
copy once and paste as many times as I need it and then go back and start
fillng in pictures. It would be much simpler for me if I could just double
clik the picture file name rather than highlighting the file name and then
going to the action box and changing insert to link. If I were only doing a
few pictures, it wouldn't really matter, but there are surveys where I have
in excess of two hundred pictures that need to be included.
Thank you for your time and attention to my problem.
Regards,
Samm
