I have Office XP Developer on my home computer which has a Pentium4 running Windows XP Home User operating system. At work, the company database (to which I will be programming) is in Access 97. Since I don't want to constantly convert the database back and forth when working from home, I'm pretty sure I want to install Access 97 on my home computer. And I do not want to remove AccessXP.
So I'm wondering the best way to go about this. Would it be best if I purchased something like "Partition Magic" and installed Access97 in a newly created partition? (I have no experience doing this but am pretty confident I could do it.) Or can I just install Access97 onto my C: drive? (which is where AccessXP is installed)
One issue that worries me regards the Visual Basic Applications Reference Libraries. Obviously AccessXP has newer versions of these libraries than Access97. Will the two version's of Access and Windows XP be able to keep all these library files seperate?
I will appreciate any advice on these and other issues that I need to be aware.
Thanks,
DarrylQA
