Install hangs at "installing ODBC components"

Hello

I seem to have a corrupted MSO2003 install on a WinXP Pro SP2 machine.
The install always hangs at "Installing ODBC components". Prior to that,
I get this error:

Error 1904: setup cannot register ..\office11\1033\msrclr40.dll

Clicking Retry gives the same error again. If I click Ignore, it
proceeds but hangs at "Installing ODBC components". If I click cancel
and try to run reinstall/repair, I get the same error again. I'm pretty
much stuck.

Any help appreciated.
