install office 2003 from cd problem

I am unable to install office 2003 student and teacher
edition because my pc won't read the cd. The CD drive
works, and the CD works on another machine. the store
tech person said my drive is not compatible with the CD.
i want t try and download purchase the software, but
don't find that on-line. please help. thanks!
