Install Office 2003 Upgrade without Office 97 cd?

D

Dan

My computer crashed big time. I have to reinstall Office 2003 upgrade. It's
calling for an old version of Office. I can't find my Office 97 cd. Is there
any way to install 2003?

Thanks

No, you have to point the upgrade to the qualifying product. Sorry.

97 is still installed on my other pc. Can I use my network to verify 97 or do
I need the cd?

Thanks

I honestly don't know. You can always try but I would keep looking for those
disks. (Legally you have to have them.)

Worst case you could buy replacements on ebay.

Could be done but with it being Office 97, chances are slim.

No kidding? Wow! Well, I guess I can't blame them - get something back for
them if you can. :)

(Why am I surprised that *anything* is on eBay? If it weren't for eBay's
rules, I can only imagine what would be sold there.)
