Install Office 2007 and Office 2002 Side By Side

D

Dell Boy

I've had to restore a customer's Win XP laptop to factory settings, prior to
the wipe the laptop had Office 2007 Home and Student Edition and Publisher
2002 installed and working fine. I now need to re-install this software and
get it back working as before.

Now that I've completed the restore I can see that it has OneNote 2003
pre-installed. The customer has provided the CDs for Office 2007 Home and
Publisher 2002. I'm not sure which program I need to install first (any other
relevant advice would also be much appreciated) to achieve the end result of
Office 2007 and Publisher 2002 working correctly and OneNote 2003 removed.
The customer doesn't remember uninstalling OneNote 2003 so I would guess it
was upgraded during the Office 2007 Home installation.

Hello,

I would like to copy my orignal post here:

********************
It seems after restoring to factory settings, it preinstalled with OneNote
2003 and you would like to install Office 2007 Home and Student and
Publisher 2002 with CDs.

If you want to install and use more than one version of Office on the same
computer, you must install the earliest version first.

At this time, I suggest we remove OneNote 2003 (since OneNote 2007 is
included in the Office 2007 Home and student), install Publisher 2002 and
then Office 2007.

We can refer to this article to learn more about multiple versions of
Office on one computer and the known issues.

Thank you. If you have any concerns, feel free to post back, we can discuss
together again.
