Install Office 2007 Home and still use my Access 2000?

I am satisfied with Office 2000 Student Professional Access, Excel, Power
Point Publisher, but Word freezes if askekd to do too much.
Could I install Office 2007 Home, which has no Access, but still use Access
2000?
Or just install Word 2007 and delete Word 2000?

Yes, you can...as long as you choose to do a CUSTOM install and go
through the options...making sure you keep the programs you want and
only install the ones you need. ALSO, make sure you don't choose
upgrade and install the new version into some dedicated folder, i.e.,
create OFF2007 or something, rather than going into the Program Files
Microsoft > etc...

However, before you go through all that, you may want to try to solve
the problem. When Word freezes, there are 3 major/common reasons...1)
you have too much junk in your TEMP folder, 2) your video driver is
old and needs to be upgraded, an accelerator test will confirm this
fact, and 3) there's an addin causing a conflict.

Additionally, the problem can be caused by a combination of these
issues.

So before you go messing with uninstalling/installing, you might want
to try the suggestions in these articles...

Actually, as long as you pay attention to not upgrade and do a custom
install, you CAN run more than one suite per system. (Although I must
admit that waiting for 2007 to reconfig after opening a 2003 app is a
pain and takes MUCH longer than any previous version!)

I have two systems (desktop and laptop), both running multiple
versions of Office and both accessing various versions on a regular
basis...laptop is running 2003 and 2007, desktop is runnning 2000,
(2002 was also running, but I hate that version and ripped it out),
2003 and 2007.
