Install Office97 Upgrade without previous version

Stephen Mackey

I had an old computer, originally set-up with Office 95
but I have lost the floppies which contained Office 95.
In '98 I bought the Office 97 CD Upgrade version of
Office 97. I bought a new computer and need to install
Office 97 (Upgrade Version) on it. Is there a way that I
can load my upgrade CD Version of Office 97?
Microsoft doesn't support Office 97 anymore.

Hi, Stephen Mackey. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=158069
"OFF97: Products That Qualify for the Office Upgrade" for a list of
products that qualify you to upgrade to Office 97. Just remember that
"all versions" in this article only means those versions that pre-date
Office 97. You might be able to pick up one of these products on ebay
for just a few dollars.
