I have a workbook built in XL03 that needs to be transferred and run on an
XL07 machine (running on XP). I had a few missing references, all of which
I've been able to resolve except CDO 1.21. CDO is used to generate automatic
emails from Excel, without the user having to approve each one (this macro
will be running at 2am daily, and the end user for some reason isn't enthused
about the idea of coming in at 2am every day to approve emails ;-)
Can anyone provide advice on the most straightforward way to get CDO1.21
registered on the XL07 machine, especially without having any negative impact
on MS Outlook?
I tried using the ExchangeMapiCdo.MSI but wasn't able to get it to install;
error was "Messaging API and collaboration data objects 1.2.1 cannot be
installed with Microsoft Outlook" (Outlook, and all other programs, were
closed at the time of the attempted install)
