install volume control

You should ask Windows questions in Windows newsgroups - however, Windows
Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices > Volume > check the 'Place Volume
Control Icon in the Taskbar' check box. Double click the resulting icon for
full access to the sound card mixer controls.

thank you graham for your response i had already tried hat u suggested and i
get an error message saying volume control is not installed go to add/remove
programmes.it keeps askin for sndvol32,exe. i do not have the windows disc to
the pc and i have been trying for 3 days to fix this problem
