Install works on 2 machines, but Word ignores it on 1

Hi;

I created a .msi setup program using Visual Studio. It works fine on
two machines. On the third the setup runs. The registry has the right
settings. The files are on the disk.

But...

When Word starts it doesn't call the add-in. And in Tools, Templates
and Add-Ins it lists nothing under Global templates and add-ins.

any ideas?

thanks - dave

Word is startlingly variable in its choice of Start Up folder locations. (My
Documents\Application Data\... - different for each user on the machine;
Program Files\Microsoft Office\...; and WINNT\Application Data\...) It seems
to depend on the Word version, the OS version, and user choice. By the
sounds of it, your install program has picked the wrong folder. In my
experience, the only reliable way to do this is have your install program
query Word itself to find the correct location.
