Installation of Office

If I install Office 2007, either the trial version (60-day) of the full
version, will it replace my old Office 2003 version that is already installed
on my computer?

ah

I tested Office 2007 for a few months and my version of Office 2003 was
always present in my computer. Today I uninstalled the 2007 beta version
and noticed that 2003 had disappeared from my computer. Therefore I would
advise you to be very careful and to keep your 2003 CDs handy. Read my 2
posts from earlier today: Office 2003 disappeared from my laptop when I
uninstalled 2007 beta and Where can I re-download Office 2003 from?

If you read all of the instructions at each step, you should be okay. You
need to tell it that you do NOT want to upgrade the 2003 version. You will
only be able to run one version of Outlook so you would have to uninstall
your current version of Outlook before you install 2007. You will have to
remember to save all of your files in the 2003 compatible format if you are
sharing them with others who may not have 2007.

(If I was in your situation and I wasn't definitely planning on buying
Office 2007 well within the 60 days, I wouldn't download the trial because
of possible problems. But I'm not you and you have to do what you feel is
right for your computer.)
