Installation problems, can't find previous Office version on pc

Hi,

I'd like to install Office 2007 Upgrade, but the installation fails because
the installation procedure can't find a previous registerred version of
Microsoft Office. But that's not possible because the full version of
Microsoft Office XP is also installed on the pc. What am I to do to solve
this issue...?

Well... you could try running a detect and repair of office 2002 on your
system. This can be done through the control panle in add and remove
features..click on office xp and then change..you will see the options for
detect and repair. But if this doesn't allow office to find the previous
qualifying product then you should contact Microsoft support. They may have
some other suggestions...you may even get some brave tech who will argue a
bypass key out of customer service...your gonna need your product key for
office xp though to prove you have a previous version.
