installation problems

I tried to install office professional 2003 after a format of my harddrive.
The installation files seem to load, then window installer kicks in but then
I get a message "invalid product key". I have'nt even got to the point to put
in a product key. Any ideas?

Where did the office disks come from? If they are a bootable load, then
there is no access key and something is wrong with the disks. If you
purchased Office Pro from a commercial vendor and the install doesn't get to
the point of asking for the keys, then (a) those disks have a problem or (b)
there might be a problem with the installer Wizard in Windows. Have you
installed any other software lately? Any problems? Are you sure your CD
reader is working okay? (I had to ask - sorry).
