Can anyone help please. I have downloaded and installed the 60 day trial of
Office 2007 Pro but Outlook 2007 is not available.
Is this standard with the trial?

It is available, but you have to tell the installer to install it. Click
the "Not Avaiable" icon and change it to "Run on My Computer"

The whole of Outlook is not available. There is no option on the drop down to
"run on my computer"
Any other thoughts please?

Did you remove the existing Outlook version first?

I too am having this problem, but I don't now what you mean by "use the
installer to install it".

Ah, No. I expected the trial to replace the existing version. I will try
that, thanks.

You get to the installer through "add / remove programs in the control panel.
If you click on the Microsoft Office installation then click "change", it
will allow you to add or remove elements of the Office program. One of these
is Outlook.

I have experienced the same problem and when I try to uninstall my Office XP
Outlook, I get a box that says Windows Installer, but then the message "The
installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the
source exists and that you can access it". I have even tried putting in the
Office XP installation disk and get the same message; I don't know what has
happened.

Ok, as Works comes with it's own version of Word, it is possible that the
Windows Installer has become confused. I need you to answer a couple of
questions before I can help:

Is the Office product an upgrade?
Do you have the Office Installation disks?
Do you have Office 2002 SP1 installed? (You should be able to find this in
"Add / Remove)

Office XP is not an upgrade. I do have the Office Installation disks,
however, they are useless because when I put them in I get installer source
error message. I do not find an Office SP1 in my add/remove and when I try
to update, I get the message that it is unable to update, I believe it is a
windows installer error message again. I tried to find a way to repair or
reinstall windows installer and found and installed Windows Installer 3.1,
but it did not help. I have uninstalled Microsoft Works and that did not
help.

Brian, you have helped me loads. My outlook is now installed, running
smoothly and working like a dream since you told me where to find it. thanks!

I'm glad it's working. You're welcome.

I did not have to uninstall outlook, what I had to do was when you start the
installer, click "customize" and you will see the list of products, and
outlook was marked as "not available", but I clicked on it and selected "run
all from my computer" and it then installed fine.
