Installing Access

Hi

I have MS Office 2003 SBE installed on my pc. I also have MS Office 2000
Premuium edition from a previous PC (now defunct)

Can I (how do I) install just the Access prog from the Premium edition,
adding it to the 2003 installation.

Obviously, I don't want to overwrite Word, Outlook and Excell etc with the
older versions of the programmes but after starting the install priocess I
cannot see how to select only the Access prog for installing. In other
words, how do I de-select the bits that I do not want to install.

Thanks, Rob

There should be (fairly early along) an option to do a "custom install".
That should produce a step where you see all of the programs and associated
bits and pieces as a tree with CheckBoxes where you can choose what to
install. The tree has icons that resemble hard drive icons in Explorer.

Thanks for your response Rick

This option was not clear. I followed the custom install but there were no
check boxes to either select or de-select.

However, if I clicked on an item, I found an option of "Not Available" so I
made all of the other items NA and Access seemed to load ok without
interferring with the alread installed progs.

Thanks again, Rob
