Installing and configuring Access 2002

I just installed Access 2002. When I started it up I got an error dialog box which stated "Can't find the database that you specified or you didn't specify a database at all. Specify a valid database name in the command line, and include a path if necessary

When I then click the OK box Access shuts down

I would appreciate any help that you can provide.
