Installing Front page and Publisher

B

Brian Bevan

Hi
I have OFFiceXP PRO 2002 and OfficeXPPRO suite 2000

I have tried to install front page and publisher from the 2000 complete
suite to my office 2002. Both are official licensed original softwares.

But the CD will not run. I also using search which finds the programmes ok
but still will not run.

Having purchased these and I feel it most unfair that I cannot install these
because they should be compatible accross both sets.

HELP PLEASE

As a pensioner I cannot afford to purchase yet another office (2007)
Note the Earlier version (The Complete suite) carries Publiher etc on CD#2
whereas the later edition is the office set with #2 being the live tutorials.

So to the brains out there can you help me PLEASE

Regards

Brian Bevan

Publisher 2000 is installed from Disk 2. The setup is there, right-click the CD,
click Explore, find the setup.exe. Office 2002's second disk was media files if
I remember correctly.

Many times installation issues arise because of anti-virus programs. Disable
yours, see if that makes a difference.

You might have better success with FrontPage if you install in safe mode. What
version is the FrontPage program?

Hi Mary
Thank you for your reply.
I was able to get Publisher up and running. But not from the original Disk 2
but from my backup copy. The original will not run or open under explore,
therefore my conclusion is that the original must be no longer usable. This!
I do not understand? therefore how do I get a replacement?
Front page is still not up yet, and you did not mention it in your answer?
So! I still need to solve this one. The new MS Expression is way! way! too
expensive for me.
